Registration for New K-3 Students

Las Lomitas Elementary School Registration for NEW K-3 Students

 

Welcome to the Las Lomitas Elementary School District. We look forward to meeting you and your family. School offices are open the second week of August through the end of June each academic year, from 8:00am to 3:30pm daily. During the days that the school offices are closed, you may contact the Superintendent's Office at 1011 Altschul Avenue, Menlo Park CA, or calling 650-854-2880 for registration information.

New Student Registration 2018-19

Kindergarten registration for children who will turn five on or before September 1, 2018 opens on Monday, January 29, 2018.  Please note that Las Lomitas School District does not offer Transitional Kindergarten. 

Registration for new 1st through 3rd students for the 2018-2019 school year will also start on January 29, 2018. There are four (4) steps to the registration process.

Step #1

To begin the registration process, bring the following to the school office no earlier than January 29, 2018:

  • ORIGINAL birth certificate or passport
  • Your child’s immunization records to date
  • Proof of residency in the form of :
    • Current rental property contract or lease, mortgage paperwork, current year property tax bill, OR notarized affidavit from property owner of Parent/Student residency 
  • AND
    • Two ORIGINAL utility bills from different companies (i.e. power and water) 
    • ​Cell phone bills do not qualify as proof of residence

Office hours are 8:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. 

Step #2

Upon receipt of the items listed above, you will be given access to InfoSnap, our on-line registration system, where you will continue the registration process.

Step #3

Upon completion of the on-line registration, you MUST bring a hard copy of these forms to the school office to FINALIZE registration.  Your child will not be registered at Las Lomitas until we receive your on-line registration papers.

Please Note: You will not receive a class placement letter unless all state required immunizations have been met.

 

Step #4

You will be asked to confirm registration information and complete compliance documents in August 2018.  You will be notified when to do so.

School Tours

Tours of the school for parents of incoming Kindergarten students and new first through third grade students will be offered on the dates listed below.  These tours are for adults only (no infants in strollers, please).  In order to minimize distractions to the academic program, spaces are limited to 16 per tour and one tour per family.  Please call the school office at 650-854-5900 extension 0 to reserve a tour.

 

Kindergarten tours are 9:15-10:30 a.m. on:

  • Friday, December 7, 2018
  • Friday, December 14, 2018
  • Friday, January 11, 2019
  • Friday, January 18, 2019
  • Friday, February 1, 2019

The tour for parents of incoming new first through third grade students is on:

  • Friday, February 22, 2019 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Friday, March 8, 2019 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.   

Important Notice Regarding Immunization Requirements

All students enrolling in the Las Lomitas Elementary School District (LLESD) must satisfy California State Immunization Requirements prior to enrollment. Please see the Shots for School website for a guide to the requirements.

 

Students enrolling in LLESD from outside of the United States are also subject to the immunization requirements of the State of California and will not be admitted until all requirements are met. We will need proper documentation of your child's immunization with English translation as necessary to verify the records.

 

Please note: Your child will not receive class placement until all state required immunizations have been met.
